Paris

The Thalys train takes you there in 1h20min (from Brussels), so easy! It was a very hot day, so I spent most of the time below deck on the "Paris Open Tour"bus with Lucas. We saw almost all the big monuments (well, everyone on the upper deck has). But is was a good day, and especially the break in the shade of a tree at the foot of the Eiffel Tower was much appreciated by our little boy (and myself).

Easter egg hunt

Happy Easter! This morning Michael organized Lucas's first Easter egg hunt. He found some!

Last weekend we were away to a family holiday park in the Netherlands, with friends and their kids. It was very busy, but a lot of fun. We took Lucas for a swim in the baby pool. He was very impressed with it all, looking around the whole time. After the swim, he had a shower and then he had his milk and fell a sleep for a looooong sleep, he must have been so tired!!!! The other evening he was very interested in that brown bottle in Michael's hand...

He had his first bottle the other day (a week or two ago). At first he was a bit confused that the milk came from daddy, but it didn't take long for him to empty the bottle.
And here are some more pics from the past 2-3 weeks.

Lucas's Christening

On Saturday Lucas James was christened/baptised. It was a nice celebration, with coffee and cake afterwards. He cried a little bit, near the end, because he was getting too hot in his outfit I think, it was very warm in the chapel. The white dress is almost 100 years old, it was handmade by my greatgrandmother in 1914 (only the shoulders and arms were adjusted a bit later by my grandmother). Most of the kids in the family were baptised wearing the dress, but unfortunately not me.

Smile!

Yes... again pictures of Lucas. There is not much else happening in our lives at the moment, and anyway, I think most readers of this blog are checking it out to see pictures of out little boy.
We are still doing great, although I am getting tired of sitting inside all day. It has been so cold and there has been so much snow... there is still snow when I am writing this, but it is supposed to warm up this week and melt it all away, hurray!! And hopefully it won't come back until next winter.

Settling in

Oops, it's almost a month since my last post, as Lucas is two months old tomorrow! But we've been very busy with moving house and trying to settle in again. So far it's all working out well. Our new appartment is a nice place, quite spacious and cosy, so Michael did a good job finding it! Michael is a lot happier too, not having to travel from Oostende to Leuven anymore (so he has time to go running again!).
Lucas is still doing great, eating a lot and groing fast. Sleeping is OK to, most of the time...
